Anthropic
- "Largest distillation attack in history" allegation— Anthropic wrote to the Senate Banking Committee (Tim Scott / Elizabeth Warren) claiming that operators linked to Alibaba's Qwen lab used roughly 25,000 fraudulent accounts to generate 28.8 million Claude interactionsbetween 2026-04-22 and 06-05 in an attempt to distill its models; it called the conduct "brazen" and "illegal," carried out in disregard of administration warnings. This is a model-theft / IP-exfiltration class security incident.
Bloomberg· CNBC coverage - Claude Tag on Slack (beta)— teams @Claude in a channel to delegate tasks, accumulate context, and collaborate asynchronously, with controlled accessto tools/data (the security angle). Available to Claude Enterprise & Team.
- Fable 5 billing change— as of 6/23 it was removed from the Pro/Max/Team/Enterprise bundled plans and moved to usage-based credit billing.
- Talent inflow— per Bloomberg, Jonas Adler and Alexander Pritzel are moving from Google to Anthropic; other reports say Noam Shazeer has left Google.

- Gemini 3.5 Pro approaching— at I/O (5/19) a "next month" release was promised, and the Pro model ID has not yet been made public; Gemini 3.5 Flash went live on 5/19. Positioned as the strongest agentic / coding model.
- Talent outflow— several senior Google AI researchers have moved to Anthropic and OpenAI, drawing industry attention to the stability of its research bench.
